6. Find a Site that Suites You

There are thousands of dating sites.  You need to find one that suits your needs.  Think about what you are looking for, whether it be friendship, solely sex or whatever floats your boat.  Find a site that caters to what you want.

5. Don’t be THAT Guy

Online dating is fun and exciting, but don’t be that guy that takes all of his pictures with his shirt off or pants off.  The picture you post of yourself is what you will attract.  If you post pictures of yourself with a ton of money, you will attract people who are looking for men who have money.  Don’t get caught up in that scenario.

4. Kill the Bathroom Selfies

Whoever said taking a selfie in the bathroom next to a toilet is cool, lied.  It’s not cool!  Your photos should reveal who you are without the toilet photo bombing your picture.  Your profile photo should be up close and a little personal.  A head shot of yourself will suffice.  You and thousands of your friends do not need to appear your profile picture.  Not only is it difficult to distinguish who you are in the photo, it’s not a good first impression.  You are the only person who should appear in your profile picture.  If you want to add a few pictures of you and your friends in your photo album, it’s fine, just not the profile picture!

3. Embrace Yourself

If you are not a millionaire, have a fancy house or a fancy car, it’s okay!  Don’t front or put on a show to impress someone.  This is a common mistake many men make.  Be yourself and be proud of everything you have and do not have.  The person who is right for you will appreciate your entire being and will not judge you for the things you lack.  Remember that everyone has flaws.  Be happy and proud of who you are.

2. Ignore Ignorance

Unfortunately, there are ignorant people in the world, and they somehow make their way to dating sites.  Don’t fall for the ignorance.  Some people on chat sites only want one thing, whether it’s money, sex, or whatever.  If you’re into all of that, great, if not, keep moving and ignore the ignorant catch lines, phrases, and sometimes rude messages.

1. Find Who You Want and Get what You Want

If you don’t go for what or who you want, the chances of you getting these things are slim to none.  Don’t be afraid to send that gorgeous person a message or a friend request.  you have to have confidence within yourself.  You can do it!
